When I decided to become a Virtual Assistant, I remember trying to decipher the best way to advise everyone, who I have been doing these favours for, that this has become my career path and there will now be a fee attached to all jobs.

I remember having these conversations in the mirror, convincing my reflection how confident I am about my career change and how much I want it to be successful. I felt anxious about the resistance I may have received from a few, but my passion drove me to get it done!

That was when I knew it was the real deal and I just had to toughen up. I was also fascinated by the idea of working from home and while that was a huge incentive in itself, the icing on the cake came when I eventually pinned the “memo”, I got so much encouragement from my freebie clients… they were actually cheering me on. Not one of them fussed about the remuneration!

Of course, I still want to see people succeed, but I realised shifting my focus to “business” rather than “it’s a favour” actually motivated me to put that extra “umph” into producing top-notch projects!

This didn’t happen overnight, of course, but with over 20 years of experience in supporting Management Level Personnel in the areas of Administration and Customer Service Management, I was able to turn my passion for organization into becoming, what I thought to be quite a natural fit, a Virtual Assistant. It allows me to work with whomever I want, providing that much needed support, so you can concentrate on the bigger picture.
